Cyanobacteria of Ukraine: actual diversity, trends of taxonomic changes, features of zonal and ectopic distribution

The paper presents the results of a critical taxonomic revision list cyanobacteria Ukraine and analyzis their zonal, ecological typological distribution. includes 766 species from 150 genera. They belong to class Cyanophyceae Schaftner, four subclasses, 7 orders 46 families. subclass Oscillatoriophycideae (4 orders, 21 families, 65 genera, 333 species) is characterized by greatest diversity. leading are Synechococcales (34.1%), Nostocales (26.8%) Oscillatoriales (25.5%). Genera Phormidium Kütz. ex Gomont (7.3% species), Leptolyngbya Anagn. et Komárek (5.4%), Calothrix C.Agardh Bornet Flahault (3.8%) Oscillatoria Vaucher (3.7%) lead in richness. obtained significantly different generalized data on diversity as 2005. growth generic partly related nomenclature changes; genera 50 new floristic records, revealed including using molecular methods. distribution territory has specific features. highest uniqueness composition characteristic Steppe zone Ukraine: 539 124 Cyanophyceae. Most found rivers (56.5% total list), lakes (38.0%), ponds (34.6%) reservoirs (29.4%). Among continental bodies, swamps have most peculiar (9.8% here).
